Central Living Group’s Coats for Kids Drive

This year, the Central Living Group team joined forces with the Red Deer Christmas Bureau to help bring warmth to people in need across our community. We organized a Coats for Kids coat drive, and we are overwhelmed by the generosity we witnessed.

A Community Effort

Myself, Ken Devoe, and Jenna Smith all worked together to spread the word. We distributed nearly 2,000 door hangers throughout Red Deer and Blackfalds, sharing details about our drive and inviting the community to contribute. We also reached out to our past clients, many of whom came forward to lend a hand. Thanks to everyone’s incredible kindness, we collected a total of 262 coats, 94 pairs of mittens, 89 scarves, 143 toques, and 104 other essential winter items.

Collection Day – October 8

On October 8th, our team hit the road to collect donations left on doorsteps across the area. We were thrilled to fill three vehicles to the roof with items for people in need. This was a true community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you who participated. Your donations made a tangible difference for families this winter.

Volunteering with the Christmas Bureau

After gathering donations, our team took a morning to volunteer at the Red Deer Christmas Bureau. It was an unforgettable experience, helping match individuals and families with the winter gear they need. Being involved hands-on in giving back brought us even closer to the community we care so deeply about.
